Our Club
We are a friendly bunch of individuals who share a common interest in local community service, making a difference to those in need and enjoying life and the fellowship of our Club to the full.
We meet each Monday at 12:45 at Broxbourne Civic Hall for lunch, usually with a speaker, to enjoy fellowship and pursue the Rotary ideal of:"Service Above Self"
We give new members a warm welcome so if our approach to life seems similar to your own we would like to hear from you. The Structure page gives details of who to contact.
We were founded 12 September 1947, the year of the 'Big Freeze', the marriage of Queen Elizabeth and first breaking of the sound barrier. Today we have around 40 members, aged from their thirties into retirement and from all walks of life:
- * education
- * banking/finance
- * manufacture
- * accountancy
- * engineering
- * estate agency
- * law
- * religion
- * retail
